Friends of Yaquina Lights and the Bureau of Land Management
are our sponsors again in 2010. We have been very fortunate to have their ongoing
support since we started the Yaquina Lighthouse Century Rides in 2005.
Bike Newport
will again be a principal supporter of our rides this year. You will
find them assisting riders both at the early registration on Friday at Bike
Newport, 150 NW 6th St, at the Start at the Yaquina Head Visitor Center,
as well as at their Bike Lincoln City Store, 923 SW 51st St., in the
Taft area of Lincoln City, the final reststop for the 100-Mile Century riders.
This year for the first time we will have the support of the
Elizabeth Street Inn; they will offer a 10% discount on all rooms.
All rooms
provide wonderful ocean views. Rooms include a hot breakfast buffet and they have an indoor pool and fitness
room all with fabulous views. The Park Motel is also a great supporter of cyclists and while a smaller place, it
is next to the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse State Park and just a short walk to the Bay Front.
Pioneer Printing has been very generous to do all our brochures, maps, cue sheets, and new signs at a great
price. Panini's Bakery will be providing some of their artisan breads for your rest stops.
Cash&Carry (Smart Foodservice) has provided a majority of our food this year at a discount.
The folks at Sawyer's Landing
(Mile Post 4) on the Yaquina Bay Road have provided the tables that are at all
our Rest Stops and at the Post-Ride Party at Bike Newport. Siletz Boat Works, Inc. dba Riverbend Marine Services
is again allowing us to use their parking lot and rest rooms for Rest Stop No. 1 (Mile Post 5) on the Yaquina Bay
Road.
Food Services of America will be assisting again this year by providing a collection of cookies and
bagels. In past years Food Services of America and their suppliers provided the majority of the
wonderful food and drinks that were available at all rest stops for several years.
Rest Stops were supported by the Newport Semeritan Hospital Staff as well as students &
staff from the Hatfield Marine Sciences Center of Oregon State University. We want to thank all
those that supported our rides since 2005 and have made this a very successful series of events.
